Chapter 37: Magic Rose 1
Potions were the universal medicine of the world of Asphial, brewed from certain plants that grew in dungeon clusters. Their primary effect was wound repair. Whether the damage was to skin, muscle tissue, or even internal organs, potions restored them all equally.
Because of this, for adventurers—whose profession constantly exposed them to danger—the number of potions they had left was often a deciding factor in whether they pushed deeper into an unconquered dungeon or retreated. Their importance could hardly be overstated.
The Adventurers' Guild, which oversaw adventurers throughout the kingdom, generally recommended carrying at least three potions at all times. Since their lives depended on it, virtually every adventurer, whether novice or veteran, carried potions unless they were desperately poor.

For example, the Purple Grade-3 potion sitting before Aina and me was the sixth-highest rank if Red Grade-1 was considered the absolute pinnacle.
With four colors and three grades each, there were twelve ranks in total. Yet even a difference of a single grade could dramatically affect the price.
The lowest-ranked potion, Green Grade-3, was exactly what its name suggested—a vivid green liquid. It healed relatively minor injuries such as cracked skin, chapped hands, and light bruises. Its price was about 500 yen per bottle. With a little knowledge and the appropriate equipment, even an amateur could produce it.
